Brickman's annual contracted services with DHHOA

Currently, we contract annually and pay on a monthly basis with various vendors providing the entire association all necessary services to keep and maintain the lawns and turf, the retention pond and the drainage ditches. Our budget each year includes an estimate of what we will spend on these three main categories. However, there are several other areas where funds are expended that we consider a part of our on-going upkeep. These other areas may include electrical repair for lights that illuminate each entrance and lights around the pond. Another area where we may spend significant monies involves downed trees in the common areas of our four neighborhoods. These past two years, including the May 2010 flood, we have had to cut and remove a significant number of trees from all areas of our neighborhood. Home: 615-834-2582 Cell: 615-491-4299 Mr. David Mosier is owner of this lawn and turf maintenance company that provides many additional services that are not obtained through the Brickman Group. The services provided include drainage berm ditch maintenance. Our entire community is surrounded by drainage ditches that direct water to a culvert system designed to keep water from entering homes. This culvert system along with the sewers directs the rain water to our retention pond at the front of Devon Valley or into common areas where the excess water becomes harmless. If these are maintained and kept clean they will function as intended. “A Cut Above” cleans and blows leaves and other types of stick and debris out of these ditches two times each year. The company will also dig and retrench these ditches as needed. NOTE: We started a rehabilitation of all of these drainage berms and ditches in 2008 and we continuously try to monitor the progress. During the May flood of 2010 we found that our efforts in re-digging and reworking the system had made a huge difference. The damages by the flood, even though substantial, could have been a lot worse. You are welcome to review these repairs which are available on our website. Unlike other companies, they are on site once a week for trash removal and additions of any treatment needed. They also add plants and fish to ponds, if desired. They have, in the past, consulted with home owners on koi ponds. In addition, they sell and service fountains and aerators for all ponds. They also have added Christmas decorations to their services. This includes lights, wreaths and garland. Brooks has over 25 years of irrigation, lake and pond, and Christmas lighting experience at Opryland Hotel.
